CLEVELAND – Heat center Hassan Whiteside and Cavs star LeBron James exchanged a few words ahead of their meeting Wednesday in Cleveland.
After Heat practice on Tuesday, Whiteside said of LeBron: "LeBron's a good player, I don't know too much, I never really played too much against him. I'm not guarding him, someone else is pretty much guarding him. I'll just meet him at the rim."
James was asked about Whiteside's comments on Wednesday.
James said, "I'm happy for the kid... even though he thinks I'm a good player... I'm happy for him."
According to Bleacher Report's Ethan Skolnick, James was smiling as he made his tongue-in-cheek remark.
Still, Whiteside was asked about LeBron's response.
He didn't want to discuss the matter with reporters.
The two players will settle this minor controversy on the court in Cleveland.
