Will Manso breaks down Dolphins prospects

MIAMI – Here we go.

The NFL season is here, which means Dolphins fans get to dream whether this team can finally be a playoff team again.

I'll save you the drama.  Yes.  They can be.  And I think they will be.

We've spent all offseason talking about the key additions, especially Ndamukong Suh, and the long term deal to lock down Ryan Tannehill.

We've even seen a different Joe Philbin in training camp.

This team just has a different feel and confidence to it.  The defensive line could be dominate, and for the first time in a long time the Dolphins appear to have multiple playmakers on offense.

What does that all add up to?  I really believe this team wins 10 games.  The early part of the schedule is set up nicely for a quick start, and I think Tannehill is ready and capable of leading a playoff push.

I'm hesitate to say Miami can win the AFC East, especially since Tom Brady's suspension was overturned, but the Dolphins will make the playoffs.

10-6 record and an AFC Wild Card spot.

As for the opener against the team from DC?  They can start Kirk Cousins, RG3 or Joe Theisman and is won't matter.  Washington is a 3-4 win team at best, and one of those wins won't come on Sunday.

Prediction:

Dolphins- 26

Redskins- 10
