LOS ANGELES – A brutal six-game road trip for the Heat took a nasty turn on Wednesday when the team announced that point guard Goran Dragic had been sent back to Miami because of a calf injury.
Dragic was set to get an MRI on the injury when he returned.
Dragic scored 22 points in the team's win over Phoenix on Friday night, a game which marked his first return to Phoenix since the Suns traded him to Miami in 2015.
According to the Heat's Twitter account, Dragic said "It's frustrating of course. I want to be here to help the team but this is a part of the game." He added "I'm going to try and get healthy as soon as possible."
