MIAMI – The NBA announced Thursday that Dwayne Wade was picked as a starter for the Eastern Conference All-Stars.

Wade won by a fan vote of 941,466.

Wade will be a starter for the All-Star team for the 12th straight season. That makes the most starts by a Heat player in franchise history.

During his past All-Star games, Wade averaged 17.3 points, 4.8 assists, 3.7 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 25.2 minutes, while shooting 64.2 percent from the field.

While Wade missed the 2015 All-Star team due to an injury, he made a 24-point, 10-rebound, 10-assist triple-double in the 2012 All-Star Game, and scored the winning shot in the 2006 game.

Wade appeared in 40 games this season, averaging 18.1 points, 4.6 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 29.9 minutes while shooting 45.5 percent from the field.
