Bosh will not travel with Heat to Atlanta

Heat release a statement

Heat All-Star Chris Bosh

MIAMI – Chris Bosh will not travel with the Heat to Atlanta for Friday's game.

The Heat released a statement on Wednesday afternoon that read: "The Miami Heat  announced that Chris Bosh will not practice today and will not accompany the team to Atlanta for the game on Friday.  When further information is available that we can pass along, it will be provided."

According to multiple reports, Bosh has started taking blood thinners to deal with a blood clot.

Bosh sat out All-Star weekend.

Last season, blood clots in his lung forced Bosh to be hospitalized.

Dwyane Wade said today, "He's in good spirits.  I think everyone who follows him on Snapchat knows he's in good spirits... We're not doctors.  We don't know exactly what it is, we talked.  He's feeling good, he has a positive outlook on things."

Bosh is the Heat's leading scorer this season.
