The veteran sub played in 36 games, making five starts, this season while averaging 4.4 points, 2.5 assists, 1.8 rebounds and 16.3 minutes. He shot 43.4 percent from the field.
"This is unfortunate for Beno," Heat all-star Dwyane Wade said of the injury. "He's someone we're going to miss on the court and miss what he brings."
Head coach Erik Spoelstra said it's "next man up."
"We will adjust accordingly," he said. "Whatever is required."
That means staring point guard Goran Dragic will get more minutes, while rookie Josh Richardson and veteran Josh McRoberts will have more of a role.
