The Heat big man famously said that nobody was doing it with blocks, after recording double-digit blocks as part of a triple-double this season.

Still, Whiteside finished behind San Antonio's Kawhi Leonard.

Golden State's Draymond Green finished second.

According to multiple reports, Whiteside said Monday that he is used to being overlooked and was not pleased with the vote.

Whiteside will have a chance to show off his defensive prowess when the Heat play Charlotte in Game 2 of their playoff series on Wednesday night.
