Heat host Nets, Magic, 76ers in 2016-17 preseason

Miami opens preseason Oct. 4 at Washington

MIAMI – The Miami Heat will host the Brooklyn Nets, Orlando Magic and Philadelphia 76ers in the preseason, the team announced Tuesday.

Miami will open the preseason schedule Oct. 4 at the Washington Wizards.

The Heat will make their home debut the next week when they host the Brooklyn Nets.

In addition to Washington, Miami visits the San Antonio Spurs and Charlotte Bobcats in the preseason.

The Heat welcome Orlando to Miami on Oct. 18 and conclude the preseason Oct. 21 against the 76ers.

Miami also meets the Minnesota Timberwolves in a pair of neutral-site games -- Oct. 8 in Kansas City and Oct. 15 in Louisville, Kentucky.

The complete broadcast schedule for the preseason will be released at a later date.
