Gase defends Tannehill, blames protection
Quarterback will remain starter
DAVIE, Fla. – Adam Gase is offering Ryan Tannehill the type of protection his offensive line did not on Sunday.
Gase reiterated on Monday that Tannehill will remain his starting quarterback.
Gase said that he calls the plays and knows where the breakdowns are happening.
The head coach does not think it's a fair evaluation of the quarterback position, when that player is under constant pressure,
The Dolphins played Sunday without two starting offensive linemen, Laremy Tunsil and Branden Albert.
Tannehill was sacked 6 times in the team's 30-17 loss to the Titans.
After the game, Gase emphasized that Tannehill will be the team's starter for the rest of the season.
The Dolphins are now 1-4.
They host the Steelers next Sunday.
