Leon Orr joins Dolphins from practice squad

Former Florida, Oakland Raiders defensive tackle played in 3 games last season

DAVIE, Fla. – Miami Dolphins defensive tackle Leon Orr has been promoted from the practice squad.

The team announced the move Wednesday.

Orr joined the Dolphins' practice squad last month after spending the 2015 season and 2016 training camp with the Oakland Raiders, who signed him as an undrafted free agent from the University of Florida.

He spent the first 13 weeks of the regular season on Oakland's practice squad before joining the 53-man active roster in December.

Orr recorded two tackles, including one solo tackle, and one defended pass in three games with the Raiders.
