MIAMI – When Dwyane Wade returns to the AmericanAirlines Arena on Thursday as a member of the Bulls, it may be a good time for him to reconnect with his old boss.
ESPN reports that Wade admits to not having talked to Heat president Pat Riley since the end of last season.
Wade left the Heat somewhat acrimoniously after 13 years and three NBA championships in Miami. The move enabled Wade to engineer a homecoming to Chicago.
"I think you guys know, I haven't talked to him," Wade said Wednesday. "It's as simple as that. I think I've been very open and honest about my respect and love with Pat. I've been honest that I haven't spoken to him since the season ended."
Wade added that's he not sure if he'll speak with Riley during his South Florida visit and that when it comes to the NBA legend, "if you're not with him, you're against him."
