Reports: Marlins sign pitcher Edinson Volquez

Fish looking to revamp roster

MIAMI – The Miami Marlins are bringing in pitching help.

According to multiple reports, the Marlins have agreed on a 2-year deal with Edinson Volquez.

The Fish are looking to fill out a rotation following the tragic death of Jose Fernandez.

Volquez, 32, most recently played with the Kansas City Royals.

He has also played for the Rangers, Reds, Padres, Dodgers, and Pirates.

Volquez has a career record of 89-79.

The deal is reportedly for $22-million pending Volquez passing a physical.
