Miami Hurricanes crack top 25 after wins against Duke, Virginia

No. 25 Hurricanes have won 6 of last 7 games

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Miami Hurricanes have cracked the top 25 in basketball after victories against a pair of ranked Atlantic Coast Conference foes.

Miami is ranked No. 25 in the latest Associated Press poll, released Monday.

The Hurricanes knocked off No. 18 Virginia and No. 10 Duke in consecutive games.

Miami (20-8, 10-6 ACC) has won four in a row and six of its last seven games. The only loss during that span was a 71-66 defeat at then-No. 4 Louisville.

The Hurricanes finish the regular season with consecutive road games at Virginia Tech and at No. 15 Florida State, which moved up four spots. Miami already defeated the Hokies 74-68 earlier this month. The Seminoles handed Miami its last home loss on Feb. 1.
