Hassan Whiteside rolled his ankle against the Raptors

MIAMI – The Miami Heat are once again waiting on a Hassan Whiteside, late-game injury.

Against the Raptors Thursday night, Whiteside rolled his ankle late in the 4th quarter.

The center stayed in the game.

Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra said that the ankle was sprained, but the severity was not yet known.

Whiteside said after the game that his ankle injury was not as bad as the one sustained by teammate Dion Waiters.

Whiteside described the injury as "annoying."

In the Heat's previous game on Tuesday, Whiteside cut his hand late in the 4th quarter.

He received 13 stitches and played through it the next game.

The Heat enter Friday in the No. 8 spot in the Eastern Conference Playoff race.

Miami plays at Boston on Sunday.
