Conley demoted, Mattingly shakes up lineup

Marlins trying to find winning ways

MIAMI – Don Mattingly is doing everything in the frustrated manager's playbook.

On Monday night, Mattingly was tossed from the Marlins 9-4 loss to the Cardinals for arguing with the umps.

On Tuesday, Mattingly did the shake-up the lineup move.

Mattingly moved catcher J.T. Realmuto to leadoff, the pitcher's spot to No.8, and moved Dee Gordon to the No. 9 spot.

In addition, the Marlins sent down Monday's starting pitcher Adam Conley to the minor leagues.

The Fish are desperate for a win after a slow start.

Miami is 13-18 and 7.5 games out of first place entering Tuesday's game.
