Marlins slugger Stanton buys Miami penthouse

photo

MIAMI – Even if the Marlins end up dealing Giancarlo Stanton, the All-Star slugger is putting down roots in South Florida.

With the cash earned from his $325 million mega-deal, Stanton has purchased a three-story penthouse at the Aria on the Bay in Miami.

No price tag was given for Stanton's 5-bedroom, 7.5 bathroom penthouse, but similar units in the building have already for up to $6 million.

Along with panoramic views of the Magic City, the penthouse also includes a private pool and outdoor kitchen.

However, as the building won't open until 2018, Stanton may want to check with Marlins management about those trade rumors.
