Hurricanes to wear all-green, all-black alternate uniforms for 2 home games

Miami, Adidas showcase uniforms to be worn vs. Toledo, Georgia Tech

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Miami Hurricanes will have a new look when they take the field for two home games this season.

Miami's football team will sport alternate all-green and all-black Adidas uniforms when the Hurricanes host Toledo and Georgia Tech at Hard Rock Stadium, the school said Thursday in a news release.

The Hurricanes will wear the all-green "State of Miami" uniforms Sept. 23 against Toledo and the all-black "Miami Nights" uniforms Oct. 12 in a nationally televised Thursday night game against the Yellow Jackets.

Miami's retro uniforms are an ode to the national championship teams of the 1980s.

The matching green jerseys and pants are highlighted with white stripes and orange outlines to match the white numbers with orange outlines on the jerseys. Miami will also wear white helmets with the team's signature "U" logo.

The Hurricanes will wear the "Miami Nights" uniforms for the Oct. 12 nationally televised home game against Georgia Tech.

The black uniforms will have green stripes with orange outlines to offset the white numbers with orange outlines on the jerseys. The helmets will also be black.

Miami and Adidas announced a 12-year partnership in 2015.
