Hurricanes heading to Orange Bowl to face Wisconsin

Miami to make first appearance in Orange Bowl since 2004

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Hurricanes will be staying home for their bowl game.

Miami will be playing in the Orange Bowl against Wisconsin.

The No. 11 Hurricanes (10-2, No. 10 College Football Playoff) are on a two-game slide after a 24-14 loss at Pittsburgh in the regular-season finale and a 38-3 loss to top-ranked Clemson in the Atlantic Coast Conference Championship game.

It is the first trip to the Orange Bowl for the 'Canes since 2004.

Miami will try to improve to 8-0 at Hard Rock Stadium against sixth-ranked Wisconsin.

The Badgers (12-1, No.6 CFP) are making their first Orange Bowl appearance.

Wisconsin was undefeated in the regular season before a 27-21 loss to Ohio State in the Big Ten Conference Championship game.

The Orange Bowl will be played Dec. 30 at 8 p.m..

The Hurricanes are hoping to bring out the "turnover chain" and finish their season on a strong note.
