A semi-truck drove off the road in Portland, Oregon, on Wednesday and ended up in a swimming pool at the home of Trail Blazers guard Evan Turner.

According to The Associated Press and KATU, the truck's driver lost control on a hairpin curve and the vehicle tumbled down an embankment.

KATU reported that emergency personnel were able to rescue the driver, whose leg was pinned between the steering column and the center console, reportedly after Turner's chef propped his head above water for 10 minutes.

"I wasn't aware that the driver was injured or how badly," Turner said in a statement released through the NBA team. "But I'm obviously grateful that the first responders were able to rescue him and I hope and pray he'll be fine."
