OMAHA, Neb. – The Florida Gators got yet another pitching gem from their ace, Alex Faedo, as they advanced to the College World Series Final with a 3-0 win over TCU on Saturday night.
Faedo struck out 11 batters in 7 1/3 dominant innings, despite not having his best stuff at times and despite what appeared to be a leg cramp during the end of his outing.

Faedo attended the same Tampa high school as Jose Fernandez, the late Marlins ace, who was somewhat of a mentor for Faedo.
The Gators will face the LSU Tigers in what will be an all SEC showdown in the CWS Final starting Monday night.
