Louisville will host the 2017 ACC Baseball Championship.

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. - The 2017 Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball Championship will be played in Louisville, Kentucky, the conference announced Tuesday.

Originally scheduled for the Durham Bulls Athletic Park in Durham, North Carolina, the ACC relocated the baseball tournament and eight other championships because of the state's controversial law that opponents argue discriminates against the LGBT community.

Louisville Slugger Field, which opened in 2000, is home to the Louisville Bats minor league team.

"The city of Louisville knows how to host big events, especially sporting events, and I believe all of the ACC teams will enjoy the experience of playing in a great sports town and in a terrific ballpark," Louisville head baseball coach Dan McDonnell said. "I'm also excited our fan base will have the opportunity to experience and support the ACC Baseball Championship."

Florida State lost to Clemson in the final game of this year's ACC Baseball Championship.

The ACC announced last week that Camping World Stadium in Orlando will be the site of this year's conference championship game in football.

Ticket information for the ACC Baseball Championship will be announced at a later date.
