'College GameDay' coming to University of Miami campus for first time

ESPN's pregame college football show makes inaugural visit to Coral Gables

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – ESPN's "College GameDay" is coming to the University of Miami campus.

The iconic pregame college football show will be broadcast live from the Coral Gables campus for the first time Saturday.

No. 7 Miami (8-0, 6-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) will host No. 3 Notre Dame (8-1) this Saturday night at Hard Rock Stadium. It will be Notre Dame's first game against the Hurricanes in South Florida since 1989.

The main "College GameDay" stage will be on the north end of the school's lakeside patio, between the Donna E. Shalala Student Center and the Norman A. Whitten University Center Pool.
Fans may arrive as early as 5 a.m. The pit area will open at 6:30 a.m.

There are several rules for first-time "College GameDay" attendees. They are:
• Fans may arrive early to begin lining up for access to the pit at 5 a.m., with the Pit opening at approximately 6:30 a.m.   
• Fans entering the pit will be screened and wanded by security.
• No bags, backpacks or purses permitted in the pit.
• No offensive, vulgar, inappropriate or solicitation signage will be allowed (i.e., no political, religious, or .com, .org, .net signage).
• No signs or flags on a stick/pole, etc.
• No pens, pencils, markers or dry erase boards.
• No food or drinks.
• Throwing of objects is prohibited.

It is Miami's first appearance on "College GameDay" since a 41-14 loss at Florida State in 2013. It is also Miami's first time hosting the "College GameDay" crew since a 13-10 loss to Florida State at the old Orange Bowl in 2006.

Miami first hosted "College GameDay" before a 34-20 win against the Seminoles in 1994. The Hurricanes are 5-1 when "College GameDay" comes to South Florida.

The show airs from 9 a.m. to noon on ESPN.
