Dolphins not spooked playing on Halloween

Miami has never lost on All-Hallows Eve

DAVIE, Fla. - This season may be slowly becoming a scary nightmare, but surprisingly, playing on Halloween may be a good omen for the Dolphins.

With the Cincinnati Bengals in town to face the Dolphins in a primetime matchup, the fact that they're playing on Oct. 31 bodes well for the home team.

Since their birth in 1966, the Dolphins have never lost a game when playing on Halloween. Heading into tonight, Miami is a perfect 5-0 on this most delightfully devilish of nights.

In fact, the Bengals were the Dolphins last Halloween "victims" when they fell at home to Miami in 2010

1971 - at L.A. Rams - 20-14 W

1976 - New England - 10-3 W

1993 - Kansas City - 30-10 W

1999 - at Oakland - 16-9 W

2010 - at Cincinnati 22-14 W
