Panthers lose to Arkansas State

MIAMI - FIU lost its fourth straight game Thursday night. Arkansas State beat the Panthers 34-20 at FIU Stadium. 

FIU (1-5, 0-2 Sun Belt) took the lead in the 2nd Quarter when E.J. Hilliard connected with Jacob Younger on a 19-yard touchdown.  Hilliard threw for 133 yards with one touchdown and an interception. He played in place of Jake Medlock who missed the game with an injured foot.

Arkansas State took the lead late in the second quarter on a one-yard touchdown run by David Oku.

FIU will try to end its losing streak against Middle Tennessee at home on October 13.
