MIAMI - Canes coach Jim Larranaga is up for a big award.

Larranaga has been named one of four finalists for the Naismith Men's College Coach of the Year award.

He joins Jim Crews (St. Louis), Mark Few (Gonzaga), and John Thompson III (Georgetown).

The winner will be announced April 7 in Atlanta.

Larranaga led the Canes to the team's first ever ACC regular season and tournament championships.

Miami earned a #2 seed in the NCAA tournament.

The Canes play Pacific on Friday in Austin, TX.
