MIAMI — Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo recently helped a widow who works for Camillus House.
Abedayo partnered with TikToker Zachery Dereniowski, better known as MDMotivator, to surprise Bianca Grey with a new car and a full year of rent.
Grey, whose husband died in a motorcycle crash, has a 5-year-old daughter. She was homeless when she was a teen, and this fuels her work at the homeless shelter.
“My mom, it was just us and my sister, we was homeless, so now I am helping other people,” Grey told Abedayo and Dereniowski about her work at Camillus House.
When Abedayo and Dereniowski surprised her at a bus stop, Grey thought she was waiting for a human trafficking victim who needed housing.
The duo blind folded Grey and walked her toward the parked new car, which had a big red bow on it.
“This is going to change our lives forever,” Grey said through tears.
Abedayo’s BBB Foundation focuses on helping single mothers in honor of his. The Miami Heat star had also already donated the basketball court at Camillus House.
