CORAL GABLES, Fla. — A new online series from Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver and former Miami Hurricanes great Michael Irvin will follow Linda Fletcher, the mother of Hurricanes star running back Mark Fletcher Jr., as she travels to attend every one of her son’s games.
Irvin’s Playmaker Production is launching “Fetching Fletchers,” which will document Linda Fletcher’s journey on the road in a custom-themed RV that Irvin gifted to her.
“My heart just opened wide up,” Linda Fletcher said. “I started crying for sure.”
Irvin said the series is about more than football — it’s about family and the bond within the Miami Hurricanes community.
“Yeah, it’s a beautiful feeling, beautiful thing,” he said. “We always talk about family, and that’s what this is about. That’s what the U is about, it’s the U family, and that extends everywhere.”
Irvin, who played at Miami before a Hall of Fame NFL career, said the Hurricanes have developed a strong community among the families of their players.
“And the greatest part about this is, when we were here, we really didn’t have like a mom’s coalition, you know what I mean?” Irvin said. “And to have that, that’s why we got such great players. These guys are great, great guys.”
“I’m talking about, yeah, they’re great, great football players, but these are great, great people,” Irvin continued. “And that’s why we have to highlight that.”
Fletcher said she was already committed to following her son on the road, but the series gives her an opportunity to encourage other mothers to support their children.

“I was gonna do it anyways, but the blessing of being able to do it like this, it’s just very amazing and I just would love to inspire other moms go the long way with your child, especially those ones that are doing the right thing and being great,” Linda Fletcher said. “And so yeah, I’m fully on board like I always say and I’m just excited to get behind the wheel and get going.”
