MIAMI — Marlins outfielder Kyle Stowers was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a left hamstring strain, an injury he said felt similar to one he sustained earlier this season.
Stowers told Local 10’s Will Manso that he knew right away that he was dealing with a similar issue. He said his recovery timeline will depend on treatment but expects to return before the end of the season.

Stowers missed about three to four weeks with the previous hamstring injury. If his recovery follows a similar timeline, he could return for roughly the final 20 games of the season.
The Marlins recalled infielder Graham Pauley from Triple-A Jacksonville to take Stowers’ place on the roster.
The Marlins are 60-59 on the season and 3.5 games back of the National League Wild Card spot.
