Marlins Park continues to undergo renovations as the team rebrands itself.
Jeter had a message for fans, "Come out here and get to us... We have a lot of talent throughout our system now."
Jeter highlighted that the Marlins will have a better in-game experience for fans.
The team traded catcher J.T. Realmuto to Philadelphia last week. Jeter said, "We were never rushing into any deal. We didn't have to make a deal... we're happy with the deal we made."
The former Yankees legend was asked about patience. He said, "I have no patience. I have zero patience. I've been preaching it, but I don't have it. I understand that things take time."
Jeter said the Marlins will add to payroll "when the time is right. Right now our focus is on building through the young guys. Us finding out where they fit in with our long term plan... We will always consider who to add to our organization. When the time is right."
When told that the outside expectations were for the Marlins to be one of the worst teams in baseball, Jeter said "I would take it as a slap in the face if I was a playe, if someone told me how bad we were supposed to be. You have to go out there and try to prove people wrong."
