MIAMI – Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria may need to lower his price.
The New York Post is reporting that Loria has been unable to attract a successful bid for the Miami Marlins at the asking price of $1.3 billion.

According to the Post, neither of the two groups bidding on the team have met the asking price.
The two contenders are a group led by former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Yankees legend Derek and a second group led by Tagg Romney, whose father was once a Presidential candidate.
MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred has previously confirmed that there were multiple bidders interested in the Marlins.
Loria bought the team in 2002.
