MIAMI – Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside will miss Friday night's game in Los Angeles against the Lakers, but he's set to return from his eye injury this weekend.
The Heat announced Friday that Whiteside is en route to rejoin the team in L.A. where coach Erik Spoelstra expects him to return to action Sunday against the Clippers.

Whiteside had his right eye poked during a loss to the Celtics back on December 30th.
That game proved extremely costly for the Heat as Justise Winslow hurt his shoulder in the same game, an injury that required season-ending surgery this week.
