NCAA: No. 1 North Carolina rolls over No. 9 Washington

No. 1 North Carolina rolled over No. 9 Washington 81-59 Sunday to take a spot in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.

Luke Maye and Nassir Little led the Tar Heels with 20 points each, and Jaylen Nowell led the Huskies with 12 points.

North Carolina never trailed in the game and will face fifth-seeded Auburn in the tournament on Friday, The Associated Press reported.

The Tar Heels were eliminated in the second round by Texas A&M last year. They’re a No. 1 seed in the tournament for a record 17th time.
