WESTON, Fla. - Chad Johnson may not have a team to train with, but that doesn't mean the former Miami Dolphin wide receiver is losing his game.

In fact, he may in the best shape of his life, according to a video of Johnson posted by a Weston trainer. It shows the former NFL star running on a treadmill at 24 miles per hour. Johnson doesn't start by jogging, launching right into the sprint for about 10 seconds.

According to a tweet by the trainer, Matt Gates, the treadmill had an elevation of 2.5 percent during the brief sprint. Gates runs Fit Speed Athletic Performance on N. Commerce Parkway in Weston with NFL receiver Brandon Marshall.

The video surfaced just days after NFL rookie Robert Gill posted his own video that shows the 29-year-old sprinting on a treadmill at 25 miles per hour.

But it's not the first time Johnson has showed off his speed. In May, he responded to a question on his Twitter page saying that he had run "24 mph (10 seconds) during Monday's speed day" and posted a link to a video similar to the one that has gone viral this month.

Johnson spent seven days in jail in June, after a judge didn't like his behavior during a hearing following a probation violation. Upon his release, he told Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts that he wants another chance to play with a professional football team.
