Dolphins QB Tannehill to have knee surgery, McMillan out for season reports say

McMillan confirms status on social media

DAVIE, Fla ā€“ Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill will have season-ending knee surgery on his left torn ACL, the Associated Press has confirmed.Ā 

Tannehill will be placed on injured reserve, per the AP's source.

The 'Fins signed Jay Cutler after Tannehill reinjured his left knee during training camp on August third. Tannehill first injured the knee during a game against the Arizona Cardinals last season.

Rookie linebacker Raekwon McMillan is also reportedly done for the year with his own torn ACL, suffered during the preseason opener on Thursday.

The 'Fins have not commented publicly on either Tannehill or McMillan, however McMillan took to social media on Friday night and appeared to confirm that his season was over.

"Who would have thought my first time touching the field for my dream job would be my last time this season," McMillan wrote on his Instagram account.
