Dolphins tight ends Julius Thomas, Anthony Fasano rave about coach Adam Gase

Thomas excited to be reunited with Gase

Adam Gase addresses the media Monday before the playoffs begin

DAVIE, Fla. – Wedensday was tight end day for the media during Dolphins OTAs (Organized Team Activities) and Julius Thomas and Anthony Fasano both raved about head coach Adam Gase and the culture the second-year coach has created in Davie.

"It's exciting," said Thomas about being reunited with Gase. They worked together in Denver when Gase was the offensive coordinator for the Broncos. "Not only is he a guy that I think is one of the best football minds - he's really good at teaching and instructing - but he's also somebody that I consider a friend and somebody that I trust in this game. To have that marriage is pretty good," Thomas added about Gase.

Fasano, who's returning for a second stint with the Dolphins, said he's seen a big difference in the level of competitiveness and in the day-to-day atmosphere. "It comes from the top," Fasano said. "It starts with coach Gase and what he brings and the culture he brings to our meetings every day. It kind of permeates through our team."

Thomas indicated the 'Fins offense will be a high-powered unit, "our offense is always going to have the same standard and that's to go score points. If we're coming out here to do anything else, we're not doing our service to the team. How many points we score a game, how many yards, that'll be determined; but it's definitely going to be our goal to go out there and put points on the board."
