DAVIE, Fla. – Three members of the Miami Dolphins will be heading to New York to meet with the NFL about player protests.
Michael Thomas, Julius Thomas, and Kenny Stills will be meeting with the league on Tuesday according to the Palm Beach Post.
When asked about the meeting, Stills said, "I think Julius answered that. We'll see how everything goes. Honestly, can't really tell you too much. But, you'll hear from us after the meeting."
The Dolphins have a policy requiring player protests to happen inside the locker room.
The three Dolphins say they are protesting social inequality and are trying to create a greater conversation about important issues.
Last week, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell was in South Florida for a community conversation with the three players. They also did a police ride-along and visited several schools.
The NFL owners meetings are happening in New York on Tuesday and Wednesday.
