Police said a Miami police lieutenant ordered Anderson to sit on the ground, but the football player tensed his body and pushed the lieutenant.

Anderson was forced to the ground while still continuing to fight with police and security, the report said.

He was arrested on charges of obstructing a police officer and resisting an officer with violence.

A hearing is scheduled for May 15.

Anderson previously attended South Plantation High School and played college football at Temple University.

In a statement to The Associated Press, the Jets said they're "aware of the situation," but have no comment.
