Notre Dame Beats Miami 41-3

Hurricanes lose first regular season meeting since 1990

CHICAGO - The Hurricanes gave up 586 yards of offense to Notre Dame Saturday and the Fighting Irish ended Miami's winning streak at three games with a 41-3 victory.

Notre Dame had 379 rushing yards led by George Atkinson III who finished with 123 yards on the ground. Cierre Woods had 117 yards rushing and two touchdowns.

Notre Dame's defense was able to shut down Miami's rushing attack. The Hurricanes finished with 84 yards rushing. Mike James was Miami's leading rusher with 28 yards.

Receiver Phillip Dorsett had a tough night for Miami. On the Hurricanes opening drive, Dorsett dropped two touchdown passes from Stephen Morris. Dorsett finished with one catch for six yards. Morris finished with 201 yards passing.
