MIAMI - Miami Dolphins lineman Jonathan Martin wants to return to the National Football League, according to an ESPN report.

Lisa Salters reported that Martin, 24, feels that he can't return to the Dolphins and is likely done playing football this year. Martin remains in California with his family, where he's receiving some sort of medical treatment.

Sources told Salters that Martin plans to eventually address the media.

Sources told Salters that Martin wanted to make it clear that his absence is not an issue between himself and Richie Incognito, who has been suspended from the Dolphins for conduct detrimental to the team.

Incognito denied bullying Martin in an interview with Fox Sports' Jay Glazer. It's unclear if Martin saw the interview.

The Dolphins play the Bucs on Monday Night Football in Tampa.
