Reports: Panthers on verge of being sold

SUNRISE, Fla. - The Florida Panthers are reportedly on the verge of being sold.

The New York Post reports that the team will be sold to a New York-area investor.

The Panthers are currently owned by South Florida businessman Cliff Viner.

The Cats are celebrating their 20th anniversary this season.

The team has no official comment, but indications are this is a positive step to making sure the team stays in South Florida.
