MIAMI – El Clasico fever has officially started as South Florida prepares to host one of the biggest soccer games in the world.
But FC Barcelona and Real Madrid are not the only teams hitting the spotlight this coming week.
Fans were out in force at Barry University Monday to watch Paris Saint-Germain practice for Wednesday's game against Juventus.
Club supporters were able to get an up close look at some of the sport's biggest names, like Thiago Silva, Dani Alvez and Angel Di Maria.
The practices are just a glimpse of the week ahead as El Clasico fever sweeps South Florida.
"I am grateful, really grateful, to see these great players because they don't come here often," said one PSG fan. "You usually see them on TV and now to see them a couple hundred meters away is pretty good."
The practice Monday morning was one of several to feature the Parisian leading up to the Juventus match.
Of course, the anticipation is building towards Saturday's epic match between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid. It's a game expected to draw over 70,000 fans to Hard Rock Stadium, along with a worldwide television audience in the millions.
Organizers giving fans plenty of opportunities to join in the fun, even if they cannot attend the games.
Casa Clasico will take over Downtown Miami beginning Friday, a place for friends to get the chance to meet players, enjoy music and food.
