Keith Dunlap

Digital Content Team, Graham Media Group

Keith Dunlap is a member of the Digital Content Team who provides articles for Graham Media Group sites across the country, whether original content or by helping out stations. He also clips newscast videos and posts content to social media sites. 

Keith joined GMG in March 2018. Prior to that he spent 11 years writing for the Oakland Press, primarily covering high school sports. He was named the Young Journalist of the Year for the Detroit Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists in 2007. Keith's articles have appeared in dailies across the country, including USA Today, the Detroit Free Press and the Washington Post. He is a graduate of Michigan State University. 


Why did it take so long for Father’s Day to be created?

On May 9, 1914, President Woodrow Wilson signed a proclamation declaring the second Sunday of each May would be “a public expressions of our love and reverence for the mothers of our country,” also known as, the creation of Mother’s Day.
