news.yahoo.comAnthony Scaramucci says it's not too late to buy bitcoin — just look at Amazon's run since 2009
SkyBridge Capital founder Anthony Scaramucci believes bitcoin can move even higher over the long term and become a less volatile asset as adoption picks up. Amazon shares have surged more than 3,600% from the company's IPO in May 1997 to May 2009. Bitcoin's value by market cap has nearly doubled this year alone, according to CoinDesk data. In 2018, however, bitcoin lost about 80% of its value in what's now known as the "crypto winter." Scaramucci, whose firm has a bitcoin fund, said the currency is still in a "transitory period," like Amazon shares years ago.

Insurrection marks moment of reckoning for Republicans
(AP Photo/Andrew Harnik)The insurrection at the U.S. Capitol was both stunning and predictable, the result of a Republican Party that has repeatedly enabled President Donald Trump's destructive behavior. But the violent siege on Capitol Hill offers a new, and perhaps final, moment of reckoning for the GOP. Before they left, a handful of Republican senators and more than 100 Republican House members were set to oppose the vote to certify Joe Biden's presidential victory. And while there were obvious cracks in Trump's grip on the Republican Party, his fiercest detractors came from a familiar pool of frequent critics. Anthony Scaramucci, a former Trump, often has harsh words for Trump, but offered his harshest on Wednesday for Trump's Republican enablers.

cnbc.comAnthony Scaramucci says markets like the idea that there may not be a 'blue wave'
Cole Burston | Bloomberg | Getty ImagesInvestors appear happy that there may not be a "blue wave" outcome in the U.S. elections, as seen in the rally in world markets, said Anthony Scaramucci, a hedge fund investor and former White House communications director. Asian markets rallied in Thursday trade, while European markets also climbed higher. "I think the markets do like the notion that there wasn't a 'blue wave,'" Scaramucci, founder and co-managing partner of Skybridge Capital, told CNBC's Hadley Gamble and Matthew Taylor on Thursday. Markets had priced in expectations for a "blue wave" in which Democrats would sweep the White House, Senate and the House of Representatives. I suspect that they will pass a pretty big stimulus and infrastructure bill, which will hopefully boost the economy both here in the United States and around the world," Scaramucci said.

The tweet, which appeared Thursday on Scully’s Twitter account, read: ”@Scaramucci should I respond to trump,” according to a screenshot of the since-deleted tweet. Scaramucci, who became a Trump detractor after serving briefly as his communications director, reportedly replied in part to Scully's twitter account, “Ignore. “Steve Scully did not originate the tweet and believes his account has been hacked,” C-SPAN said in a statement Friday. The commission announced Friday afternoon that the second debate had been canceled, and it was focusing on an Oct. 22 debate scheduled to be held in Nashville, Tennessee.
Anthony Scaramucci says first presidential debate was an 'embarrassment' to the U.S.
SINGAPORE — The first debate between U.S. President Donald Trump and Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden was an "embarrassment" to the country, said Anthony Scaramucci, a hedge fund investor who briefly served as Trump's White House communications chief. During the 90-minute debate on Tuesday night, the candidates constantly interrupted each other and the moderator, Fox News' Chris Wallace, struggled to maintain control. That debate, you know, was a little bit of an embarrassment to the country, frankly," Scaramucci, founder and managing partner of Skybridge Capital, told CNBC's "Capital Connection" on Wednesday. Trump and Biden are scheduled to debate on Oct. 15 and Oct. 22. But Scaramucci said what the markets thought of the debate will only become clearer in Wednesday's trading.

The White House punched back with an aggressive attack campaign aimed at discrediting her through a barrage of statements, interviews and denunciations from the lectern in the White House briefing room. “The White House knows if they show this is a very costly thing to do they will scare people from going forward," he said. He added that while more people are still considering coming forward, the White House tactics have worked to some extent — dissuading one senior official who had been on the cusp of speaking out.

'”The vice president's office released a copy of Troye's departure email, dated July 23 and addressed “Dear Task Force Members.” Pence chairs the task force. The White House adamantly denied the exchange Troye described, with White House spokesperson Judd Deere saying “her assertions have no basis in reality and are flat out inaccurate."
