Jones, the Dolphins' highest-paid player at $13 million, has played in only three games this season and was limited in practice Wednesday. Rookie linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel was activated from injured reserve after missing the first nine games with a foot injury. Van Ginkel was a fifth-round draft pick in April. The move means Miami cornerbacks Xavien Howard (knee) and Aqib Talib (ribs) must remain on injured reserve and won't return this season.

LAKANAMIAMI - The Miami Dolphins are acquiring Aqib Talib according to a report. The Fins are also getting a fifth-round pick from the RamsThis is all according to a report by ESPN's Adam Schefter. Talib, 33, is in the final year of a deal that he signed with the Broncos in 2014. Talib was placed on injured reserve earlier this month with a rib injury.
