The players are William Dean, a North Miami Beach attorney, who investigators said was representing three, alleged armed robbery victims. Those victims were reportedly robbed at gunpoint by former New York Giants cornerback Deandre Baker. The last time we saw Baker, he was dashing to a waiting car after he’d just bonded out of court on armed robbery charges. Baker’s attorney told Local 10 that he had no comment on Dean’s arrest, but that he’s just glad his client’s charges have been dismissed. Deputies said Dean had been under investigation since August — about the same time charges were filed against Baker.

MIRAMAR, Fla. The Miramar Police Department has released new video of a robbery case involving two NFL players. The video shows the cash, which police say might be a payoff. Both are accused in an armed robbery that happened at a house party back in May, inside a gated community on Southwest 30th Street in Miramar. One admitted the football players were trying to offer us some money to go in and sign an affidavit. The current state representative and former Miami Beach commissioner, who is not seen in any of the footage suggesting possible witness tampering, is declining to comment and is no longer representing Dunbar.
Giants cut cornerback facing armed robbery charges in South Florida

The Giants announced the move Tuesday, less than a week after co-owner John Mara said the team was close to a decision on Bakers future with the club. Two weeks later, he was formally charged with four counts of robbery with a firearm stemming from an incident at a house party in Miramar. Baker has not participated in any Giants activities since the incident. He is a Miami native and played at Miami Northwestern High.

Baker, Dunbar and two other men began robbing other people at the party of thousands of dollars in cash, watches and other valuables, according to the warrant. Conditions of the pre-trial release were that both men could not travel outside of the state and were to surrender any weapons or firearms. The team has told Baker not to participate in the virtual meetings and instead to focus on resolving his legal issues. It is unclear whether the Giants will have Baker attend training camp despite the recent legal motion.

MIAMI – The attorney for Seattle Seahawks cornerback Quinton Dunbar says he has five signed affidavits from witnesses that exonerate his client in an armed robbery. The defense attorney for Dunbar said Saturday he has proof that his client is innocent. “The one thing my client has told me is that he definitely did not commit a crime,” Michael Grieco said. Miramar Police confirmed Saturday that both of the NFL players are behind bars at the Broward County Jail.
