Dr. Fowler also said that carbon monoxide poisoning from the squad car's exhaust may have contributed to Floyd's death. Monroe County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a woman at a resort in Marathon. MARATHON, Fla. – A 22-year-old Maryland woman was found dead after she became stuck in a resort window Thursday morning in the Florida Keys. Early investigation by detectives indicated that Sydney Therriault of Beallsville, Md., was attempting to get into her room at the Pelican RV Resort & Marina by climbing through the window when she became stuck and asphyxiated. Investigators said it appeared that she didn’t have a key and was attempting to make entry to her room via the window. The Sheriff’s Office and Monroe County Fire Rescue were called to the scene at approximately 7:28 a.m. Therriault was pronounced dead at the scene shortly thereafter.

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Detectives are investigating the death of a man who was found with multiple gunshot wounds in Northwest Miami-Dade County early Wednesday. The man was found along NW 96th Street and 26th Avenue, where he was pronounced dead on the scene. There has been no word on whether police have tracked down the shooter. Journalists were among those hit by pellets during the confrontation, which came on the second day of peaceful demonstrations over Prude's death. The mayor said she only became aware that Prude's death involved the use of force on Aug. 4. Warren said the seven officers would still be paid because of contract rules and that she was taking the action against the advice of attorneys.
