Hollywood pastor believes church fire was intentionally set

‘Suspicious’ fire damages home, 2 vehicles in Lauderhill

LAUDERHILL, Fla. – Authorities are investigating a suspicious fire in Lauderhill that affected both a home and two vehicles. According to Lauderhill police Lt. Hundreds evacuated as wildfires rage in Florida Panhandle

The 2,000-acre (809-hectare) fire in Santa Rosa County, located just east of Pensacola, prompted the evacuation of 1,100 homes Wednesday. Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried said in a news conference Thursday afternoon that fire officials are working around the clock to contain the wildfires. Rich Aloy, with the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office, was patrolling Wednesday when he and other deputies rescued an older couple trapped by a burning power line. Fire erupts inside fourth-floor apartment unit in Naranja

NARANJA, Fla. – A fire erupted Wednesday morning inside a fourth-floor apartment unit in Naranja, authorities confirmed. According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue spokeswoman Erika Benitez, firefighters arrived at the scene to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the unit. Police locate woman wanted for questioning in Dollar Tree fire

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Coral Springs police have located a woman who was wanted for questioning in a fire at a Dollar Tree, police said on Wednesday. The fire was reported about 12:30 p.m. April 15 at the Dollar Tree at 11530 W. Sample Road. Police said the fire started in aisle 4 of the store, and flames could be seen on surveillance video reaching above the top of the shelves. The woman was captured on surveillance video inside the store. Authorities said the cause of fire remains under investigation, but it appears to be suspicious.
