Together We Can Make a Difference

As I sat in a crowded room I listened intently to men and women who were really frustrated and fed up. These citizens gathered in the wake of three racially motivated shootings at Korean-owned and operated businesses and they wanted answers. The town hall meeting didn’t produce anything new. So, as we experience life, it is imperative that we don’t do it in a vacuum, that we become engaged and involved; that we live each day to its fullest. From this day forward, get up and get out and get involved and be there for others, so that no one is alone!

For some reason, I honestly don’t believe we were put on this earth to live and die in isolation. So, as we experience life, it is imperative that we don’t do it in a vacuum, that we become engaged and involved; that we live each day to its fullest.

Safe at home? Social distancing difficult around MLB plates

He was like, Youre bothering me, Im trying to hit, recalled Girardi, now manager of the Philadelphia Phillies. I said, Well, Im trying to bother you, Chili.Girardi doesnt think that kind of chatter will happen as much this season amid the coronavirus pandemic. Some plate umpires are expected to wear their own face coverings. Im just trying to show that its easy to do and its the right thing to do, Frazier said. Neither is MLB players must use face coverings elsewhere in the ballpark, but not during on-field activities.

Puig picks Braves, Glasnow makes strong return to Rays

Puig agreed to a one-year deal pending a physical, a person with knowledge of the agreement told The Associated Press. Glasnow re-joined the Rays on after missing the first 11 days of summer camp following his positive test. Outside of briefly losing his sense of taste and smell, the 26-year-old Glasnow said he didnt experience any noticeable symptoms of COVID-19. I had maybe really mild cold symptoms for maybe a day, Glasnow said, wearing a mask during a Zoom call. It would always be at a weird time of the day, and it had to be nobody there, Glasnow said.

Major league teams try to ramp up the competition in camp

So teams are trying as best they can to ramp up the competitiveness of summer camps conducted in isolation. Several teams announced upcoming exhibition games, including Houston at Kansas City, Kansas City at St. Louis, and Cleveland against Pittsburgh.
