Child suffers minor arm injury, police say
PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – A 3-year-old child was struck by a car Tuesday afternoon in the parking lot of a shopping plaza in Pembroke Pines, authorities said.
The incident was reported in front of the Dragon Gate Chinese Restaurant at 11232 Pines Blvd, near Hiatus Road.
Pembroke Pines police spokeswoman Amanda Conwell said a sergeant at the scene confirmed that the child suffered a minor arm injury and was taken to a hospital as a precaution.
The driver remained at the scene. It's unclear whether he or she will be cited.
No other details were immediately released.
