BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – A motor home caught fire Wednesday morning on a stretch of Interstate 75 known as Alligator Alley in western Broward County, blocking northbound traffic.

The motor home caught fire near mile marker 41.

A traffic camera showed northbound vehicles at a standstill.

Sky 10 flew overhead as firefighters were dousing the charred motor home with water.

Two men told firefighters that they smelled smoke and saw the back of the vehicle on fire.

Local 10 News traffic reporter Nicole Perez recommended that drivers take Tamiami Trail as an alternate route.

No injuries were reported.
